Map activates when you pick a place
Google Maps loads only when you search.

This Google review link generator turns a business name, or a Place ID you already have, into the direct link that opens Google’s review box for that listing. No API key, no account, no limit.

What the link does

The link you get points at Google’s own review endpoint for one exact listing. A customer who is signed in to Google lands straight in the review box with the stars ready. A customer who is signed out reaches the correct business page first, and Google then asks them to sign in. That is Google’s behaviour, not a fault in the link.

This tool stores nothing. Your browser builds the link from the Place ID, so you can generate as many as you need and none of them touch a database.

How to use the Google review link generator

  1. Type your business name, with the city if the name is common.
  2. Pick your listing from the suggestions, and check the address on the card.
  3. Copy the review link, or press Test it to see where it lands.

Do not have the identifier yet? The Place ID Finder will get it for you, and the Place ID Lookup confirms which listing an ID belongs to.

Already have the identifier? Paste it instead. Anything starting with ChIJ is treated as a Place ID and used directly, so you skip the search entirely.

Check the branch before you send it

This is the mistake worth avoiding. Chains and franchises have one listing per location, each with its own Place ID, and the names are identical. A review link built from the wrong branch sends every customer’s review to a different shop.

The card shows the matched name and full address for exactly this reason. Read the address, not the name.

Where to put the link

Whichever you pick, send people to the link rather than asking them to search for you. Every step you remove is customers who finish the review instead of abandoning it.

What the Google review link generator also gives you

Under the link you will find the Place ID itself and a plain Google Maps URL for the listing. The Place ID is the useful one to keep: it is the stable identifier behind the review link, and the same value feeds review widgets, store locators, and the Places API.

Google explains what the identifier guarantees in its official Place ID reference, which is worth a read before you store any of them long term.

Frequently asked questions

Is this Google review link generator free?

Yes. It is free, needs no Google API key, and there is no cap on how many links you build.

Why does my Google review link open a search page instead of the review box?

That happens when the visitor has not signed in to a Google account. Google shows the business first and asks for a sign-in before it accepts a review.

Can I use this for a business that is not mine?

Yes, the link works for any listing on Google Maps. Bear in mind that Google’s policies prohibit incentivising reviews, whoever the business belongs to.

My business does not appear in the suggestions.

Try the full registered name plus the city. If it still fails, the listing may be unverified or too new, because Google withholds those from the Places database for a while.

Do these review links expire?

They are built on the Place ID, which is designed to be stable. Google does recommend refreshing a stored Place ID after twelve months, because a small number are retired over time.

Can I shorten the link?

Yes. Any URL shortener works, and a short branded link reads better on a card or in an SMS than the full Google URL.
